We will consider films from any number of different genres: narrative, experimental, documentary, animation, comedy, religious, political, romance, horror, sci-fi, foreign or any film with a strong cultural or ethnic perspective. Material with explicit sex and/or violence with questionable language will NOT be accepted.
ShortsBetween 5 and 49 minutes.

Jersey Best CompetitionAll Jersey Best Competition submissions must be either produced, directed or written by New Jersey residents.
Submission may also be filmed in New Jersey.
Music VideoA video/film with music playing throughout the film.Guns or Roses CompetitionAny film with either a gun[s] and/or rose[s] included in the plot. Note: Must include a visual of a gun or rose.East Coast / West Coast Face-offFirst ever competition between the East and West Coast.

Competition is between 
EAST COAST: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maine, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida and...
WEST COAST: Washington, California, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. YES OF COURSE THESE INCLUDE: Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Jose, Burbank, and San Francisco.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE 
The Jersey Shore Film Festival is a genuine filmmakers festival, known for maximizing potential for the filmmaker in their pursuit to make valuable industry contacts with fellow filmmakers, actors, cinematic professionals, producers, directors, investors and the general audience. This event, takes place in New Jersey along the Jersey Shore, with the central venues situated in Asbury Park and Deal Park N.J. The JSFF showcases the talents of up and coming filmmakers, actors and industry leaders from far and wide, with a receptive, anxious audience and an enormous opportunity to Network. JSFF looks to promote works which attain a professional artistic integrity without compromising the need to entertain.


ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Each summer the Jersey Shore Film Festival offers a captive audience of seasonal visitors, beach goers and affluent summer residents from New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia, the most cutting edge entertaining films from new as well as established filmmakers. It is THE destination for the young and old as a place to bask in the sun, and take in our great bars, restaurants and a rich cultured nightlife. This is where the elite, the wannabes and the really rich gather to vacation for the summer. 

A great opportunity is waiting for you to socialize with potential investors.
The Jersey Shore Film Festival screens over 100 cutting edge indie films, featuring the work of new as well as established filmmakers from around the world. Accepted filmmakers receive [2] two all-access passes to screenings, forum discussions, Gala Opening Night Dinner Party, Open Bar Passes to 'Networking Party', and Closing Night JSFF awards ceremony. Prizes include awards, as well as filmmaking equipment. A select group of accepted filmmakers receive complimentary accommodations. Each year an established writer, producer, director or actor is invited to the festival as a keynote speaker. This festival is genuinely geared towards the independent filmmaking industry, and is focused on meeting the needs of up and coming filmmakers, who wish to expose their work in a wide range of categories including; Features, Shorts, Short Shorts, Jersey's Best, Music Video, Music Video, Guns or Roses,East Coast / West Coast Face Off, Experimental, Trailers, Educational, Low Budget Video & Film, Surf Video & Film, Mocumentary, Commercials, Comedy, Sci-Fi / Horror, Sports, Action Adventure, Family Oriented, Environmentally Friendly, animation, Poor Person's Video & Film, Documentary, Foreign Film.

GENERAL RULES
General Rules

1. All work entered into the judging competition must be labeled accordingly; Ex: Short - Documentary, 17 min. DVD.
2. A non-refundable entry fee must be submitted with each entry and made payable to: Jersey Shore Film Festival. All entries must have a postmark by the deadline.
3. All foreign film entries must have English sub-titles.
4. Films must have been completed after December 2005 unless otherwise indicated.
5. For Customs purposes; international submissions must include the words "Trade Sample" on any Custom Labels and give a value of $10.00 US to the package. Indicate the "Category" on the front of the package.
6. Material deemed "Pornographic" by the judges will NOT be considered.
7. Student Film submissions must be accompanied by a copy of the filmmakers student I.D.
8. If you are submitting a work-in-progress, the DVD must be clearly marked as "Rough Cut". Final Cuts must be received no later than Tuesday, JUNE 8th at 5:00pm EST.
